Dr. Josh Eha, Acupuncturist

Dr Josh Eha unleashes our innate healing potential by maximizing blood circulation and clearing physical and emotional toxicity with the use of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. He has almost 20 years of clinical experience in evidence-based pain relief and internal medicine to care for a variety of chronic conditions. In addition to private practice he has worked with:

  • Larry Fitzgerald NFL Receiver Camp
  • San Diego Spirit WUSA Soccer Team
  • UCSD Athletic Training Center
  • ARCO Olympic Training Center
  • Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine
  • Acupuncture instructor at American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and Pacific College of Oriental Medicine

Dr Josh began his career focusing on sports medicine and is certified in Sports Medicine Acupuncture® for the treatment of orthopedic and neurological conditions with an emphasis on getting his patients back to full functionality. He went on to be certified in acupuncture for cancer support through Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He has also dedicated himself to mastery of the pulse diagnosis, the basis for Chinese medicinal prescriptions. He rounds out his approach using Emotional Energy Clearing and Neuro-Linguistic-Programming (NLP) with an understanding that the mind has immense power in the perpetuation of dis-ease and its surrender. This allows him to treat young children and needle-phobes without the use of needles.

Evidence-based modalities are employed on an individualized basis including Master Tung Style, meridian-based acupuncture, Dr Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture, Battlefield Acupuncture and Tan’s Balance Method, Chinese medicinal prescriptions, exercise prescriptions, gwa sha, cupping, active release, moxibustion, and Emotional Energy Clearing.

Many patients appreciate the clarity with which Josh educates, the efficiency with which he can relieve suffering even when other therapies have failed, and the wisdom of Chinese medicine in re-contextualizing triggers for a more sustainable perspective.

When not in the clinic, Dr Josh enjoys teaching, his wife Lauren, their pup Belle, soccer and the outdoors. He has traveled to almost every region of the world and is a lifelong learner of the human condition.
